Just got her in. Blackout with 60# limbs and 30" draw. I'm still putting it through the paces but am excited about this bow. A few observations for those interested in this bow...

1. Ultra-smooth draw. I set it at 52 pounds and it felt like much less.
2. The hump at the end of the draw on my borrowed AM 32 is not there on the Maxxis.
3. The grip area is the 180 and is much narrower than the AM's. Very nice!
4. Fit and finish is awesome
5. All in all, this bow rocks! Can I have another one please!!!

That's a sweet looking bow. Keep us informed on how it's shooting for you.

I spent some time today behind the string and made alot of adjustments...

The bow came in with 30" mods and 50-60 lbs. I set it at 52# and it felt a little long in the draw. It measured a true 30 3/8" at that weight. So I increased the weight to 58# and it brought the draw down a little, but I need it at 30 or a little under.

So happened that my dealer, Ron Williams of Williams Archery had a set of B mods (29.5") on hand. After installing them, the draw measured out at 29 3/4" and felt and shot much better for me.

Also by removing the 180 grip and shooting it off the riser, I feel it eliminated some rights and lefts I was getting. It felt weird at first, but I soon got used to it.

As far as speed goes, it shot a 585 gr 2613 221 fps at 58#. It also shot a 310 gr carbon at 301 fps. Not bad for a bow this smooth.

I plan on shooting a score this week sometime. Will update then.

Thanks!

Randy
