Hi Folks!
At first, i am new to field archery!!!!!!!!!
What's is in your opinion the the best arrows for field archery?
I have take a look at some small diameter shafts like the ACE, Victory Nano Force , CX NANO, Cartel Tripel.
Maybee some of you had any experience with one of this shafts and can post it, or can make an compare between two of this shafts.
Thanks!

If you look at the shots associated with the field archery I think you will find that the majority of shots are 50 yards and under. yes there are some shots beyond that but I'm not convinced that it warrants the small diameter shafts. I shoot the carbon express Maxima for both 3-D and Field. They are a light flat shooting shaft and highly accurate. Yes they have a wider profile but they cost one third that of the NANO's. OK having said that I have shot the NANO's and I love them I use them exclusively for my Olympic style recurve and wouldn't recommend anything else. Ace's and X-10's have been the stalwart selection for years primarily because archers are herd animals and will buy what ever the guy who is better than them is shooting. Both are great arrows but because of the weight forward tech and the straight exterior shaft I would give the nod to the NANO, I believe they reduce the recovery time faster and are quicker to tune then are the X-10's.
MHO Good luck and shoot straight.

I'm pretty new to field myself but think that an ACC is a pretty solid choice. I used those last year had them to grouping well to 70 yards. I'd say any medium weight Aluminum carbon (x-10, ACC, ACC gold, ACE,), or all carbon (redline, goldtip, or others) will do pretty well. I love aluminum, but the weight and the diameter would steer me away from them for field. Keep the point weight up and the speed close to 270 and the spine right and they should shoot pretty well for you.
Good luck.
Good luck.

The correct answer to your question is the Easton ACE. The reasons are:
1. Light mass improves trajectory and helps with slight ranging errors on the unmarked.
2. Far superior spine and straightness standards- including spine-around-shaft compared to the all-carbon shafts mentioned in the thread.
3. Wider variety of available components and ease of tunability allows for an ideal tune.
EVERY FITA World Field Championship and the vast majority of European Field events have been won with eaither Easton ACE or X10 shafts. The reason is superior performance.
No one ranked in the top 300 worldwide uses CE nano's out of a recurve.

George, Stop putting facts in the story!
BTW I shoot nano xr's but; if i had a bucket of money (which i dont) I would have a/c/e's for field. For all the reasons George mentions.

I pretty much agree with what the others have said.....although the ACE and X10s dominate since they have been around for ions and most of the top shooters have some sort of a deal with Easton so that's what they shoot.
I really like ACCs, ACEs etc.....but I wouldn't spend money on ACEs again. They just don't take the beating that other shafts do but they are a great shaft just not for me.
That being said I love my Nano XRs for field and light FITA use....but a high end shaft isn't needed for field at all.

I agree with Hornet--X10's are too much and ACE's are pretty fragile if hit from behind the carbon shatters off of the aluminum and the arrow is unshootable--my buddy lost 6 ACE's at one field shoot--so it can get really spendy.

I used to shoot CX 3d selects, but they dont like to take a beatin at shorter distances, gets expensive if your tubein 2-3 a week. Because of this I spent the money and went with the Nano xr"s I use them for Feild&Hunter FITA, But not on 3d targets. Useing the pin nocks you can slap um tight togather and if ya hit one ,all I ever do is just change out the pin nock. its alot cheaper than Buying another doZ!
